AMC analysis for Sponsored Display: tables, fields, example

In short: Sponsored Display data lives like the other sponsored ads in `sponsored_ads_traffic`, filtered with `ad_product_type = sponsored_display`. In the attribution tables the same value is in `ad_product_type`; there NULL means classic Amazon DSP display, not Sponsored Display. Cost is stated in microcents and must be converted.

The table

Sponsored ads events are in sponsored_ads_traffic (audience variant: sponsored_ads_traffic_for_audiences). The table contains impression events, click events and video creative messages from Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display and Sponsored TV. There is one record per impression and one per click.

Use the field ad_product_type to filter to the product. For this page: sponsored_display. Possible values according to Amazon are sponsored_products, sponsored_brands, sponsored_display and sponsored_television.

What matters for this ad type

  • In the amazon_attributed_events_by_* tables sponsored_display stands for Sponsored Display, sponsored_products and sponsored_brands for the other products and NULL for display (Amazon DSP).
  • For mixed instances with DSP and sponsored ads ad_product_type is the main filter; alternatively filter by campaign.
