ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)

Ad-attributed sales per unit of ad spend.

Formula

ROAS = ad sales / ad spend

Interpretation

A ROAS of 4 means 4 EUR of attributed sales per 1 EUR of ad cost. Whether a value is economically good depends on margin, fees, returns and the attribution window.

Benchmark context

As rough external orientation, Jungle Scout cites an industry value of about 4; this is not a target for every account.
